An independent school that centres around a grade 1 property on the Combe Bank estate with several outer buildings. The main building was protected by a non-compliant fire alarm and was linked to several other buildings. An upgrade was required.
With the busy school calendar in mind and a limited window of opportunity for carrying out the necessary upgrade work, a wireless radio fire alarm replacement using EMS Firecell provided the best solution.
Once the wireless infrastructure of replacement control panel and booster units were in place and operating in tandem with the outgoing fire alarm system, the radio replacement devices were quickly and easily installed. Once the replacement and additional protection devices had been carried out, the outgoing control equipment was decommissioned and removed without compromise to the school operations or fire alarm protection.
