ARC Fire Safety and Security: A Legacy of Service and History Repeating Itself

Established in 2002, ARC Fire Safety and Security Ltd has been a trusted partner for delivering fire alarm and security system services. From system design to ongoing support, our mission has always been to provide collaborative solutions tailored to our clients' needs. However, our story—and many of our client relationships—began long before 2002.

Our journey traces back to the early 1990s, when our CEO and founder, Alan Simpson, was already providing fire alarm service support through a previous company. Unfortunately, due to illness, Alan had to step back, and the company was disbanded. Yet, upon his recovery, Alan’s passion for the industry led him to resurrect the business, which we now know as ARC Fire Safety and Security. The loyalty of our clients, many of whom transitioned their services to ARC, speaks volumes about our commitment to account management, service excellence, and client-focused business practices.

Client Relationships

One of our earliest clients, Winchester Cathedral, remains a significant part of our client portfolio today. We take great pride in continuing to support such a historic site and consider it an honour to contribute to the preservation of this national treasure. This relationship has paved the way for partnerships with other iconic heritage sites, including Salisbury Cathedral, Chichester Cathedral, and The Royal Society in London. Our dedication to preserving these cultural landmarks aligns with our core business values of partnership longevity and service excellence.

At ARC Fire Safety and Security, building long-term relationships with our clients is at the heart of what we do. We believe that trust, reliability, and quality service are the cornerstones of our success. These values are woven into the fabric of our company’s DNA and have guided us through decades of growth, ensuring that our clients—many of whom have been with us from the beginning—receive the best care and attention.

The Future at ARC Fire Safety & Security Ltd

As we look to the future, our commitment to fostering strong relationships continues with the next generation of leadership. In early 2024, Alan Simpson’s grandson, Elliott, joined the ARC team, marking the start of a new chapter in our family-run business. Elliott has spent the year learning the ropes by shadowing office staff and account managers, gaining insights into various aspects of the business. Soon, he’ll be out on the road with our Service and Installation teams, beginning his journey as a "learner engineer."

In 2025, Elliott will embark on a full-time apprenticeship at Chichester College, where he will deepen his understanding of the engineering side of the fire and security industry. The entire ARC team, especially his proud grandfather, is excited to watch Elliott grow and thrive within the company. The world is truly his oyster, and we are eager to see what the future holds for him and ARC Fire Safety and Security Ltd.

As we continue to grow, we remain deeply committed to our original values—values that have allowed us to build lasting client partnerships and ensure the safety and security of some of the UK's most treasured sites. We look forward to many more years of service, guided by the same principles that have brought us success and helped our clients thrive.
