The university facilities contractor was looking to replace the existing supplier, and move forward with a company who could provide the technical expertise and resource to manage a site this large.
Action
ARC Fire Safety & Security were selected to carry out a major system upgrade, replacing a 24 panel networked system loop by loop over a six month period, in order to provide continuity of fire alarm cover. Once the new system was complete, a full planned maintenance program was implemented, working around the many different buildings and occupiers, in order to ensure a minimal disruption. An ongoing program of refurbishment means the company are working continuously with the client and its contractors to ensure all works are completed in accordance with the site system design. A site dedicated engineer provides continual service and breakdown support. As a result of the service provided, ARC was selected to take over the halls of residence sites in addition to the main campus.
Result
ARC Fire Safety & Security has been tasked to work directly with the university now, and continue to provide a high level of service on what is a complex and demanding site.
