Disabled Refuge Alarm
All new building design will now include refuge call stations for disabled persons to call for assistance during a building evacuation. Systems, are addressable, using both type A or Type B call stations, and fully comply with BS5839-Part 9.
Disabled WC Alarm
The DDA now requires all disabled WC’s to be fitted with an emergency assistance alarm. The system enables the user to call for help, with an over door light/sounder outside the WC alerting the other building users. Multiple points can be connected and report to an addressable panel in a manned area.
Automatic Opening Vents. (AOV’s)
Many buildings now have an automated vent system in larger areas where people will evacuate through in an emergency, such as corridors or staircases. These vents open on a fire alarm evacuation in order to extract smoke from the escape route. AOV servicing can be included within the overall fire safety systems annual maintenance package.
Fire Suppression
Fire suppression is installed in high risk areas such as Server rooms, communication hubs and commercial kitchens and is designed to extinguish the fire very quickly in its early stages. Fire suppression servicing can be included within the overall fire safety systems annual maintenance package.
